Charles Owen kicked off its 2012 partnership with The All England Jumping Course at Hickstead by opening the Charles Owen Shopping Village. The Charles Owen Shopping Village was launched during last week’s successful British Jumping Derby Meeting, June 20 – 24 and will continue throughout The Royal International Horse Show, July 17 – 22.
Hickstead is the home of British show jumping. Established in 1960 by the late Douglas Bunn, Hickstead is considered one of the premier equestrian venues in the world. Offering six arenas, permanent seating for over 5,000 spectators, 26 corporate hospitality suites, and conferencing and entertainment facilities for up to 250, Hickstead is an impressive setting.
During this year’s Hickstead events, the Charles Owen Shopping Village will be located just outside the main competition arena, where spectators and riders alike will enjoy world class shopping. Savvy shoppers can visit the Hickstead website and download valuable coupons to the retailers located within the Charles Owen Shopping Village and enjoy considerable savings. Charles Owen will again be the host of the International Riders’ Lounge throughout the duration of the Royal International, providing hospitality and relaxation for competing international riders.
Long recognized as the leading innovator in rider safety and protection, Charles Owen is the market leader in equestrian helmet innovation. A Charles Owen helmet represents 100 years of safety innovation within the high standards of traditional design. Charles Owen riders demand the best in safety and fit while still adhering to the style, tradition and comfortable fit of a beautiful riding hat.
Roy Burek, Managing Director of Charles Owen & Co., commented, “We are pleased to sponsor Hickstead and the Charles Owen Shopping Village. Like Hickstead, Charles Owen & Co. has a rich tradition in British show jumping. A Charles Owen helmet combines the best of today’s safety measures with traditional styling and appearance.”
