Charles Owen Kicked Off the Winter Equestrian Festival with Sponsorships at Two Premier Events
Charles Owen, Inc. launched its highly visible partnership at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Florida last weekend with two additional event sponsorships, the third Riders4Helmets “Helmet Safety Symposium” and the College Preparatory Invitational Horse Show.
On Saturday, January 14, Charles Owen was a major sponsor and presented a safety discussion at the third Riders4Helmets “Helmet Safety Symposium” in West Palm Beach, Florida. The Symposium included a wide array of speakers including leading equestrians, representatives from various equestrian organizations, helmet testing agencies, helmet manufacturers and leading neurosurgeons.
As a major participant, Charles Owen Managing Director, Roy Burek, presented a seminar on The Safety Implications of Having an Incorrectly Fitting Helmet. “The safest helmet is the one that fits your head and our investigations into rider accidents demonstrate how deadly an incorrectly fitted helmet can be.” commented Burek.
While the “Helmet Safety Symposium” was being conducted, Charles Owen was doing double duty across town at the second College Preparatory Invitational Horse Show. Designed to showcase high school age riders with an interest in participating in riding programs in college, this horse show joins interested riders with college riding teams in a true horse show format. The show also features seminars and question and answer sessions aimed at educating young riders on the process of applying to and participating in collegiate riding teams.
Charles Owen was happy to sponsor the College Preparatory Invitational Horse Show and provided helmet certificates for the silent auction scholarship fundraiser. In addition, a helmet certificate was part of a raffle held during Sunday’s seminar by noted neurosurgeon, Dr. Gillian Hotz. In her introduction of Dr. Hotz, Danielle Santos, Marketing Director of Charles Owen commented, “Charles Owen is proud to work with the College Prep Invitational Horse Show this year. As a brand, we are committed to working with young riders because they are the future of our sport.”
